Paddle Boarding is Up Next at MOVE: The Kivi Park Fitness Series

Local paddle boarders with Tannys Laughren and Elizabeth Taillefer from Northern Cancer Foundation got together to show their support for Move: The Kivi Park Fitness Series event that will take place on Sunday, August 26, 2018.

Get out the paddle boards, the fifth of six MOVE – The Kivi Park Fitness Series events will soon be happening at beautiful Crowley Lake in Kivi Park on Sunday, August 26th. The whole family can enjoy this event and there will be lots of room on shore to cheer on the paddle board racers.

There will be a shuttle service available to get people and their paddle boards to Crowley Lake and volunteers will be on hand to show you where to park – just watch for the signs on Long Lake Road.

Registration is now open and you can register online here or at Crowley Lake on the day of the race starting at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and donations┬ácan also be made online at Northern Cancer Foundation’s website.

There will be three races that will begin at 11 a.m. – A 500 metre race for kids, and 2k and 5k races for adults. You will need to bring your own paddle boards, although Northern Cancer Foundation is looking to secure some that can be rented. Currently, Laurentian Outdoor Centre does have paddle board rentals which you can find out more about on their website.

Kivi Park MOVE Fitness Series Crowley Lake

Crowley Lake in Kivi Park is where all the paddle boarding action will take place.

As always all funds raised here in Greater Sudbury stay here to support cancer research and cancer care programs of the Northeast Cancer Center (NCC) of Health Sciences North (HSN).
