“This game has really evolved over the years and I’m proud to say this should be our best one yet!” said Nick Foligno, Captain, Columbus Blue Jackets and Honorary Chair, NEO Kids Foundation. “What really drives the event though, beyond the players and volunteers, is our great community support which we’ve seen grow more and more each year. Hockey has always been supported in our community but what really stands out to me is that this game is a success because they are really big supporters of NEO Kids and what it will mean to our community and surrounding areas. That’s why it’s been so easy for me to get involved and help anyway I can, mainly because I’m one of them. Sudbury is home for me and my family and I know firsthand how important a children’s health care facility is and I want the same experience for our families in the North and surrounding areas if they ever need it.”

“The Vale presents: NHL vs Docs for NEO Kids hockey game is certainly an event I will remember for a lifetime,” said Dr. Sean Murray, Medical Director, NEO Kids & Family Program and Chief of Pediatrics. “The amount of support we receive from the NHL players and our community is outstanding. Not only does the game raise a substantial amount of money for NEO Kids, it also brings more awareness about pediatric health care needs in our community. I am looking forward to this year’s event.”

The event is proudly sponsored by: our title sponsor; Vale, Sudbury Wolves, Skaters Edge Source For Sports, Amaze n Fun, Medigas, WestJet and RBC Royal Bank.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.greatersudbury.ca/tickets, in the box office at 240 Elgin Street or by calling 705.671.3000.

Following the hockey game, NEO Kids Foundation will be hosting an event called An Evening with NHL Legends. Join us for a VIP cocktail reception with the opportunity to mix and mingle with NHL legends and players while you indulge on gourmet hors d’oeuvres and food at various stations. A Q&A period will take place with the NHL legends & players led by Joe Bowen, Canadian Sportscaster followed by a live auction.

To date, NHL legends include Wendel Clark, Randy Carlyle and Mike Foligno. The NHL players playing in the hockey game will be in attendance as well.

The event begins at 5:00 pm at the Caruso Club – Upper Hall. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased by calling the NEO Kids Foundation office at 705.523.7100 ext 1234 or emailing neokidsfoundation@hsnsudbury.ca.
