Localicious Continues to Support NEO Kids One Bite at a Time

Local restaurant owners and members of S.H.A.R.E present a donation of $14,393 to NEO Kids Foundation from their Fall Localicious campaign.

Local restaurateurs in Greater Sudbury continue to support NEO Kids at Health Sciences North (HSN) one bite at a time with their Localicious campaign.

Members of the Sudbury Hospitality Association of Restaurant Entrepreneurs (S.H.A.R.E) presented a donation of $14,393 to NEO Kids Foundation (NKF) from their Fall Localicious campaign where the restaurants donated a portion of their sales from a delicious prix fix lunch and dinner menu.

“S.H.A.R.E. proudly showcases our commitment to NEO Kids,” said Leslie Moutsatsos, owner of P & M’s Kouzzina and one of the members of S.H.A.R.E. “As a community focused organization, representing local and independent businesses, we want our community to stay engaged and passionate about keeping our children closer to home, and to reduce the amount of travel for treatment that children currently face.”

Localicious is an initiative involving a number of Greater Sudbury’s independently owned restaurants. All members are committed to giving back to the very community that supports them. The members of S.H.A.R.E include Alexandria’s Restaurant & Lounge, Apollo Restaurant and Tavern, Bella Vita Cucina, Di Gusto, Gloria’s Restaurant, Hardrock42 Gastropub, M.I.C. Canadian Eatery & Whisky Pub, P&M’s Kouzzina, Mr. Prime Rib, Pasta e Vino, Verdicchio Ristorante Enoteca, Taphouse Northern Grill + Pub, Teklenburg’s Sea Food Restaurant and Tony V’s Pizza.

“Localicious is an incredible initiative in our community and raises important funds for our NEO Kids,” said Patricia Mills, President, NEO Kids Foundation. “We are truly grateful for S.H.A.R.E.S ongoing and generous support and look forward to upcoming Localicious initiatives. It is inspiring to see local restaurants come together to help keep our children closer to home.”

Since its inception in 2014, Localicious has raised over to $62,000 for NEO Kids. With over 20 specialized clinics and services, the goal of NEO Kids is to ensure as many children as possible are able to receive treatment closer to home and their families.

S.H.A.R.E’s Localicious Winter Warmers campaign will begin on January 9th and will run until February 4th with proceeds going to NEO Kids Foundation. For more information on Localicious, visit their website.
