Kettlebells for Cancer Swings $1,000 Donation.
Sudbury Kettlebell Club Northern Cancer Foundation

Sudbury Kettlebell Club held their 3rd Annual fundraiser on September 16th to raise funds for Northern Cancer Foundation.

It’s been called “the perfect exercise”, but now it’s also the perfect fundraiser.

The third annual Kettlebells for Cancer Fundraiser took place on Saturday at Vita Chiropractic and Wellness Centre and the Sudbury Kettlebell Club. The event was the brainchild of Caz Taback who wanted to find a way to support the Pediatric Oncology unit at the Northeast Cancer Centre – a place where he was treated when he was a child. Participants register and raise funds leading up to the event, then they break off into teams and alternate doing kettlebell swings for an hour straight. This year, participants raised over $1,000.

“We love seeing fundraisers that promote health and wellness in our community,” says Tannys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation, “Caz is an amazing person and a good friend, so it always means a lot to us when he runs this event. It was great to see everyone doing their kettlebell swings out on a sunny Saturday morning!”

This is the third year Caz has organized Kettlebells for Cancer and in those three years, the event has raised over $4,000.
