Do You Want to Take Part in the Sudbury SwimRun Challenge at Kivi Park?

Calling all athletes 15 years + in Greater Sudbury! Here’s a new challenge if you’re up for it.

Canaqua Sports is proud to present its first ever Sudbury SwimRun Challenge in Kivi Park! This is your opportunity to swim, run through and experience this 300+ acre wonderland in northern Ontario firsthand.

On July 30, 2017 come and take part in the event that has taken Europe by storm. With the variety of terrains, a freshwater lake, new trails and beautiful landscape, this event will be one you don’t want to miss. You’ll be running through the trails at Kivi Park and swimming in beautiful Crowley Lake.

Crowley Lake Sudbury Swim:Run Challenge

Crowley Lake in Kivi Park will be the site of the “swim” part of the Sudbury Swim Run Challenge.

Registration is $92.50 and is limited to the first 150 athletes. There is still time to register for the event that will take place this Sunday. Registration is easy and you can reserve your spot here.

Features of the Sudbury SwimRun challenge include:

  • Multiple legs, whereby the athletes alternate between swimming and running numerous times
  • Unpredictability. A key feature not just in the leg variations, but also on a year-to-year basis. Part of the challenge is conquering the course no matter what conditions are present.
  • Swimming aids (Paddles, fins, pull buoys and wetsuits) are permitted, but must be worn/carried during the run. Likewise, running shoes must be worn or carried during the swim. This juxtaposition of events lends much to the conflict of strategy faced by participants.
