NLFB and Makers North Host 1st Annual Homemade Silent Auction

NLFB Makers North Silent AuctionNorthern Lights Festival Boreal (NLFB) in partnership with Makers North have launched their first annual online Silent Auction. All items offered for the auction are locally handmade and include paintings, all natural skin care products, gift baskets, jewellery, music cds by local artists, NLFB passes and more.

The auction started on June 1st and will end at 11:00 p.m. on June 30, 2017.

Northern Lights Festival Boreal takes place from July 6-9 2017 at Bell Park. Headliners include: Buffy Sainte-Marie, A Tribe Called Red, Whitehorse, Yukon Blonde, Andy Shauf and Fred Penner. Special accommodation packages have been enhanced for 2017, and are currently available via the Northern Lights website (nlfb.ca). There are packages for every type of traveler: hotel, hostel-style, and camping. Hotel packages are offered in partnership with Clarion Hotel Sudbury, while hostel packages are with Cambrian Residence. New this year are camping packages which are offered in partnership with Mine Mill Campground, with shuttle vehicles running to the festival site. These packages give a discount on the accommodations and the festival passes. Advance festival passes are still available and you can order them at nlrb.ca.

About NLFB

NLFB is a non-profit, charitable music presenter in Northern Ontario. The organization provides valuable exposure and career development opportunities for emerging artists, while also presenting highly acclaimed artists, and keeping the region on the map for acclaimed touring acts. The festival presents a strong component of francophone, Aboriginal, and other multicultural content each year, in line with regional population demographics and the diverse cultural makeup of the Canadian population. The majority of NLFB’s operations surround the annual summer festival, however the organization also presents many other cultural events, concerts etc. throughout the year.
