Calling All Artists – GNO is Gearing Up for Nouveau Louvre 2016

GNO Le Nouveau LouvreWhen the first snowflakes crash on the ground in Greater Sudbury, you know it won’t be long until the Holiday season! And while the mercury starts plunging, Sudburians passionate about visual arts also know the Nouveau Louvre is gearing up at the GNO (Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario).

The GNO invites all artists, of all kinds and practising all styles, to show their work and put it up for sale at the 2016 Nouveau Louvre. Whether you work with charcoal, oil paints, clay or stained glass, it doesn’t matter! We’ll be very happy to accept your artwork, show it in our gallery space and make it available for purchase to the many holiday shoppers who make a point to take in this event that has become a true Sudbury holiday tradition.

The Nouveau Louvre is the GNO’s most important fundraising activity. All works of art at the Nouveau Louvre will be for sale at the single price of 200$, of which 125$ will be paid to the artist, and 75$ to the GNO.

We are accepting, as of today, up to two (2) works of art from each artist. These will be shown at the GNO from Saturday November 19th to Friday December 23rd.

We encourage participating artists to bring in their work as soon as possible, so that we might document them and make them available on the Nouveau Louvre website.

Artists have until Thursday, November 17th to bring their artworks to the GNO at 174 Elgin St. The GNO’s hours are from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
