Do You Recognize any of these Old Northern Ontario Beer Labels?
Sudbury Brewing and Malt Co.

Sudbury Brewing and Malting Co. was founded in 1907. GSPL AF1836

Founded in 1907, the Sudbury Brewing and Malting Co. had a 99 year history in Northern Ontario. Owned by the Doran, Mackey and Fee families. Sudbury Brewing and Malt Co. expanded throughout the years purchasing the Soo Falls Brewing Co. in Sault Ste. Marie in 1911, Kakabeka Falls Brewing Co in Fort William (Thunder Bay) in 1913 , Port Arthur Beverage Co. in 1948 in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) as well as opening a location in Timmins in 1919.

The company underwent a variety of name changes, owners and brew labels until it finally closed as Northern Breweries in 2006.

We tried to find as many labels as we could but if anyone remembers any other labels, let us know and we can add them.

In 1940, 15% of Sudbury's homes still had outdoor plumbing.
